About Us
Chemtest 2022 has evolved from its early beginnings in laboratory water purification into a nationwide leader in greenhouse technology. Our journey began over four decades ago, and in 2009, a pivotal partnership with Dutch company Ridder marked a significant leap forward in our capabilities. Today, we are the sole New Zealand distributor of Ridder control systems, offering advanced solutions for climate management, irrigation, and fertigation.
In 2022, long-time team members Stephen and Katherine Thompson took the helm, continuing the legacy with passion and purpose. With Stephen’s 30+ years of experience—from technician to management—Chemtest remains committed to delivering reliable, innovative systems and exceptional service.
We’re proud to support a wide range of clients, from council nurseries and research facilities to commercial growers and private residential nurseries. Our team is based in East Tamaki and works throughout New Zealand, always ready to go the extra mile.
